The Showcase of Homes and Greene County Habitat are pleased to announce the Shane Meder Circle of Friends Design Service. This new service will be offered to each Habitat homeowner in honor of lake country local interior designer, Shane Meder, of Black Sheep Interiors, who passed away in 2021. Shane’s influence was at the foundation of the Showcase of Homes concept, and he, his husband Don Schoenberger, and the Black Sheep Interiors team have been passionate supporters of Greene County Habitat for Humanity. Shane’s ease in creating magical moments for all, including our Habitat homeowners, was truly a gift. Shane generously worked with new Greene County Habitat homeowners to help them “turn their new houses into homes.”

The new Design Service team, led by retired interior designer and Reynolds resident, Shelly Dufour, will work with each new Habitat homeowner to make build selections including cabinets, floors, counters, and paint, as well as choosing other specialty interior items. In addition to the design team’s services, each homeowner will be awarded a $1000 allowance* that may be spent on upgrades and/or specialty items chosen with the design team. The team will help guide each homeowner to make choices and decisions that fit the homeowner’s unique circumstances. Team leader Shelly Dufour says, “while we can never replace Shane, I know that he’ll be looking over our shoulders and inspiring us to be our best thoughtful and creative selves. We’re so happy to be able to do this in his honor while helping deserving families.”
