The much-anticipated Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes is proud to announce its return on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This cherished community event will feature an exclusive tour of six beautifully designed homes within the prestigious Reynolds Lake Oconee community and an extensive online auction running from October 20 through October 26, 2025.

More than just an architectural and design tour, the Showcase of Homes is a powerful movement that directly supports Greene County Habitat for Humanity’s mission: providing safe, affordable housing for families in Greene County, Georgia. Every ticket, sponsorship, donation, and auction bid contribute to a legacy of transformation—since 2018, the funds raised have helped build 16 new homes and rehabilitate 8, creating stable and safe foundations for families in need. This year, the goal is to raise critical funds to build additional homes in 2026, ensuring that even more families have a secure place to call home.

This year’s event is led by dedicated co-chairs Jane Sowell and Kara Marren. Both have a long history of contributing to previous Showcase of Homes committees, and their deep passion for this cause infuses the event with heartfelt purpose and meticulous planning. Jane Sowell reflects, “The Showcase of Homes is more than an event—it’s a lifeline for families who dream of a secure home and a better tomorrow. Every contribution creates ripples of hope that touch our entire community.” Co-chair Kara Marren adds, “Our event transforms architecture into opportunity, turning beautifully designed homes into symbols of second chances and new beginnings.”
