ROOFTOP FOUNDATION SPONSOR: LIBBY AND JACK MADDEN
The 2025 Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes, benefiting Greene County Habitat for Humanity, is proud to recognize Libby and Jack Madden as Rooftop Foundation Sponsors. With deep family roots in the Habitat mission and a heartfelt dedication to lifting others up, the Maddens are once again helping to pave the way for local families to achieve the dream of homeownership.
Just as Libby's brother, John Ludwig, forged ahead in 1996 to found Greene County Habitat for Humanity, Libby and Jack Madden are leading the way in 2025 as dedicated supporters of the Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes. Their ongoing involvement reflects a long-standing commitment to creating meaningful change in the Greene County community.
Though they've supported the Showcase since 2020, Libby's connection to Habitat began nearly three decades ago. "I remember helping John with the purlins on Habitat's very first house," she shared. "John stayed in touch with that first homeowner for the rest of her life." That spirit of service lives on. "Everyone should have a home and the security a home gives you," said the Maddens. "The pride of ownership should be a privilege we all have. We believe in giving people a hand up and not a hand out. If you've worked to achieve something, you're much more likely to appreciate it—and it gives you self-esteem."
The 2025 Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes is Saturday, October 25, 2025. For more information about sponsorships, volunteer opportunities, tickets, or ways to support Greene County Habitat for Humanity, kindly visit www.LakeOconeeShowcaseOfHomes.org
