The 2025 Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes, held on October 25, 2025, and benefiting Greene County Habitat for Humanity, celebrated its most successful year yet. With crisp, sunny autumn weather and an impressive selection of beautifully designed homes throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee, the Showcase welcomed over 1000 guests for a memorable day of inspiration, connection, and purpose.
This year’s event raised enough funding to build four and a half homes, marking a significant step forward in expanding affordable housing options for local families. The generosity of attendees, volunteers, tour homeowners, sponsors, auction donors, and community partners were instrumental in reaching this milestone, supporting Greene County Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide safe, stable, and affordable homes.
“Not only did the 2025 Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes highlight the exceptional craftsmanship throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee, but it also celebrated the remarkable spirit of service and generosity that defines this region,” said Jane Sowell, 2025 Showcase Co-Chair.
Guests enjoyed a seamless tour experience. “We heard repeatedly from attendees how much they appreciated not only the beauty of these homes but also the insights shared by the incredibly knowledgeable docents,” added Kara Marren, 2025 Showcase Co-Chair. “Visitors discovered countless unique details about each property, which we believe was an unexpected delight for everyone.” The hospitality and attention to detail elevated the experience. This success was made possible by the tremendous teamwork of volunteers, organizers, and homeowners working behind the scenes to create an unforgettable event.
As this year’s achievements are celebrated, the 2025 Lake Oconee Showcase of Homes Event Committee and the Greene County Habitat for Humanity Board of Governors extend heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed. “There are so many people to thank,” said Jan Broughton, Greene County Habitat Board Member and Past Chairman. “Whether through sponsorship, volunteerism, donations, or attending the tour, every contribution made a meaningful and lasting impact for families in need. At the end of the day, everything we have done has been for one purpose: providing homes for hardworking members of our community who could not afford one otherwise. These are essential members of our community who deserve a place to call home just as much as anyone. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support that has made our mission possible.”
Greene County Habitat for Humanity also extends a special thank-you to Greer Force Marketing for their behind-the-scenes support, which played a vital role in the success of this year’s Showcase.
